Minecraft cheats are implemented using commands, special code inputs that are entered into the console. You can also make use of tilde (~) or caret (^) notation with a number to express the relative coordinates offset from your current location, with the notation by itself representing 0 or which means there is zero offset. Tilde offsets are calculated based on the world coordinates. For example, 5 5 5 would be five blocks on the x (east), no blocks on y (same height), and 5 blocks on z (north). Caret offsets are calculated based upon the direction that the player's head is facing when compared to the forward, left, and upward axes. Therefore, 5 -5 would mean five blocks left, five blocks upward (same height) 5 blocks backward.
